Number Five: Kelly Love, AW10

I really love Kelly Love's designs. They're really beautiful and you can wear them day to day. I've exchanged a few emails with her and she's such a sweetie and so down to earth. Each piece from her collection has it's own name, I love this especially. It shows that the little details mean a lot to her, this makes for a great designer.


'The inspiration was a mix of 70’s glam and equestrian tailoring with the romantic influence that seems to be in all my collections. Fabrics always really inspire me so I tend to find fabrics before I start designing.

As the night air chills and the mornings remain ethereal we are reminded that winter is quietly approaching. The AW2010 capsule collection 'Your Heart on my Sleeve' by Kelly Love is sure to keep the winter blues at bay.

The thinking behind these extremely feminine clothes was light hearted and romantic. Beautifully crafted pieces made from velvet, French lace, lambswool and textured silk are an introduction
to the designers SS11 collection Origami Dolls.'
