Number Five: Kelly Love, AW10

I really love Kelly Love's designs. They're really beautiful and you can wear them day to day. I've exchanged a few emails with her and she's such a sweetie and so down to earth. Each piece from her collection has it's own name, I love this especially. It shows that the little details mean a lot to her, this makes for a great designer.

'The inspiration was a mix of 70’s glam and equestrian tailoring with the romantic influence that seems to be in all my collections. Fabrics always really inspire me so I tend to find fabrics before I start designing.

As the night air chills and the mornings remain ethereal we are reminded that winter is quietly approaching. The AW2010 capsule collection 'Your Heart on my Sleeve' by Kelly Love is sure to keep the winter blues at bay.

The thinking behind these extremely feminine clothes was light hearted and romantic. Beautifully crafted pieces made from velvet, French lace, lambswool and textured silk are an introduction
to the designers SS11 collection Origami Dolls.'

Here are my favourites,

(YOUHADMEATHIROSHIMADRESS)

(KISSMEINKYOTOBODYSUIT)

(IWILLHEARTYOUFOREVERJUMPSUIT)

(HELLOCHINADOLLSHORTS)

(DANCEWITHMEDOLLYGIRLDRESS)

I also have an exclusing preview of one of the pieces from her SS11 collection...

This is the last collection from 'lovely designers new collections week'.
It's been fun .

Number Four: MariaFrancescaPepe F/W2010/11

Leather, Fur, Hard Metal, Blood, Crosses, Skin, Teeth, Scars, Belts and Eroticism are all components of MariaFrancescaPepes’ new season dark aesthetic enhanced by corset-shaped dresses, the focus on the décolleté and the transparencies of a tough femininity.
The strong accent on textures and luxury materials are a distinctive
signature of MFP.
The jewellery is an inner component of the clothing,
as with MFP’s continuing jewellery-wear concept. Chains for trousers, necklaces define the edges of tailored jackets and plated brass crosses stud the georgette as embroidery.
Biker and punkish references, MJ’s eighties Bad album mixed with the refined Italian tailoring tradition results in easy to wear
volumes with a strong edge. The leather jacket becomes a body suit and the blazer a dress.
Statement jewellery pieces in the shape of 3D crosses and teeth complete the collection next to MFP’s infamous Tubulars
reinvented this season in a sprayed pop-trash effect as if stained by a spill of blood.

MFP-MariaFrancescaPepe’s Autumn /Winter 2011 collection explores the state of transition from human to animal,
from life to death and vice versa as a condition of beauty. The gothic references are mixed with a conceptual approach to fashion
, where the thrill of a sudden metamorphosis fades the definition of the silhouettes and the ornaments.'

This collection was shown at LFW , 20th February 2010. I love the shapes and the many different textures. You can tell a lot of hard work has gone into this collection and it's paid off.

Number Three: Emily Morgan

Emily Morgan's designs are amazing.
I'd marry her if there was any small possibility that her brilliance would rub off on me.

Before i post her 'Melt Me' collection, i need to show you something from 'Rolling Rocks'...

I'm a bit in love with this piece.

Anyway
'Melt Me is my best-selling collection of jewellery.
With it's unique rock-like texture it almost makes the pieces look like ancient fossilised relics.
I always like to experiment with materials to see what happens and where it takes me,
rather than sketching a design first. The Melt Me pieces are created by shaping the silver or gold while in a
molten state and then I get them into their final shape and texture by cutting, hammering and filing'
I think this collection is her best so far. I love every single piece.

Number Two: Sasaako

Sasaako was founded in 2004 by British Ghanaian designer, Aba Sasaako. Her vision was simple: to create a distinctive range of fashion and interior products that represent a fusion of contemporary design and African textiles.

Her aim is to create unique products that will be much loved and cherished by people who value originality and rare finds. To achieve this Sasaako works with limited edition fabrics and produces each of her products in small quantities. Close attention to detail is paid throughout the design and production process to ensure the highest quality.

Collections are made in London (UK) and Ghana. All materials and labour are ethically acquired.

I don't think i have to add much to that. This collection is beautiful. Inside and out. Their cusions are sexy too.

Number One: Wolford (Autumn - Winter 2010/11)

Before i get to the collection, i want to quickly talk about this.
The Austrian house has created a limited edition body (all sets are numbered from one to three hundred and fifty) with matching stockings to celebrate their sixtieth (looks way better than just 60th) birthday. Happy birthday Wolford! The set with it’s lovely lace flowers and sparkling sworovski crystals is something really special. Rankin did their press photos, normally i'm not a big fan of the 'iconic' photographer but i really like these.

Wolford were lovely enough to send me a few pieces from their new collection. The products are so well made and comfortable yet still really sexy. They're known for their quality hosiery but they're worth way more than that.

Their aim for their Autumn-Winter 2010/11 collection is feminine, feminine, feminine.
'The homage to icons such as Catherine Deneuve or Jean Shrimpton,
top models of the 60s, is made manifest in a contrasting silhouette cleverly combined with the juxtaposition
of highly finished, feminine class to flirt with sex appeal. The collection seduces with elegant folds and ruffles
together with expressive patterns and colourful accents and shows a hint of Paris chic.
Both the TREND and ESSENTIAL ranges combine purity of cut with perfection of fit, making the collection an irresistible delight.'

I've picked my favourites from their lookbook (available in full here). I hope you love it as much as i do.
