I had such a lovely day. Lots of staring at a bubba pug; staring from inside tkmaxx, hypnotised outside and then plucked the courage up to go and stroke it (well, to take a photo). I bought a few bits that are going towards a close friend's 18th present, i'm really excited about it actually. Sorry no big reveal yet, I know the lovely person reads this. Holla. Happy Sunday!

DIY Gold Brogues

You will need;
-Old brogues (check out your local charity shop, etsy or ebay)

-Gold leaf paint (amazon or silver leaf paint, here. You could probably use any colour just make sure it has high pigment.)

-Nail varnish clear top coat
-Two paint brush's
-Newspaper
-Ribbon (optional)

Brogue ideas-



What to do;
-Dig out your old brogues. Decide where you want to paint on the shoe (e.g the whole shoe, just the toe, stripes, etc)
-Cover an area in newspaper. Remember when you were little and you had to do this? Maybe put on an apron to keep your clothes clean.
-Start painting. Get creating, have fun. Make sure you open windows, the paint's (well the paint I used anyway) very strong. Get into all the nooks and crannies.

-Leave the paint to dry, depending on how strong you want the colour to be, you could do another coat
-Once all dry, use a nail varnish top clear coat to seal the colour
-Once that's dry, your new improved shoes are ready to be taken out.
-Insert ribbon instead of laces (optional)

This can be a pretty exception to my 'don't post full editorials' rule. Today was a lot of fun. All dressed up in lace with no ducks to feed (I had bread and everything). I hope it stays this side of warm for a while, not having to wear a coat is nice. Happy Thursday!

Me Time

(It seems that i'm very lucky to have taken the two photographs above. I spotted a moss covered dreamy empty space, casually sauntered in, took a few photos and planned to come back with a beautiful person. The next day, it was gated and padlocked with lots of 'do not enter' signs. Sad face + oops)

The double camo is stolen from my brother. I think I have enough camo in my wardrobe to go head to toe camo. My dungarees from weareallone arrived today, i'm so excited to wear them. Lots of gold stars a lso just burst out of hannah's card (thanks hannah), which I will probably never clear up off my floor.

Tommorow's going to be amazing. I'm going to feed the ducks with Rhiann. Expect lots of lace and red lips filled dressed up photos. Fingers crossed Rhiann will end up riding a swan.

Song of the Rainbird
A collection of 60's inspired garments with reference to the correlation between muses of fallen rock stars and beautiful birds in cages. A journey of angst and glamour as the muse copes with the impending loss of her beautiful yet unfortunate life.

The collection embodies sex appeal with timeless elegance combining beautifully cut pieces with clean lines, precise workmanship and hints of femininity and quirkiness. Exclusive prints are featured on heavily sand washed silk, painted fur and mohair give texture while wool and suede add a luxe appeal to this collection.

The colour palette sees French navy, contrasting black against white and dusky grey punctuated by pops of dark fuchsia and olive."
